Founded in 1993, Schallplatten-Antiquariat is the last standing record shop in Wiesbaden and def. worth a visit imho. The shop stocks approx. 30.000 records and covers mostly Rock&Pop, Krautrock (a lot of rarities!), Classical, Jazz and Blues. The owner is really friendly and offered a discount on my purchased record although I haven’t even asked for it. Make sure to bring some time 😉

Relatively new record store with a lot of Hip Hop: Golden Age to nowadays, also good selection of German, French and UK Hip Hop. 1/3 of the Hip Hop stuff are 12inches, all second hand.
Some Soul and Jazz, topped off with some Reggae and Rock records. Also some fine rarities in the Hip Hop genre, prices are moderate in general, but you won’t make a snap on a rarity here in my humble opinion. But give it a break the shop is really cozy and the owner is friendly, too.

Owner: Klaus Matthias Maier

Established.: 2010

Opening Hours:
TUE – FR: 02.00-20.00
SAT: 12.00-18.00

About the shop / Genres:

Highly recommended and easily the best vinyl shop in Frankfurt
if you ask me. It might occupy a small, unassuming spot on Friedberger
Landstrasse, but I tend to say that the shop is already an influential music
institution in the city of skyscrapers.

Tactile opened it’s doors back in 2010 if I am not mistaken and
moved last year from Kaiserstraße (hidden between some Korean supermarkets and
an Indian barber shop) to the aforementioned Friedberger Landstraße 114.

Tactile covers a wide range of Genres (new and second hand vinyl)
from Ambient, Krautrock, Hip-Hop, House,
Minimal to Soul/Funk, Global Beats, Independent…you name it! 😉

When you visit Frankfurt, make sure to drop by, you
won’t regret it. The owner, Klaus, is a eclectic walking music encyclopedia
and will recommend you music releases that will most certainly not be on your radar.
